Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) or Charities are usually designated as associations or societies for public welfare in the UAE. The number of associations operating locally is relatively small compared to other countries. That said, the UAE’s association‘s landscape is comprised of a number of wealthy philanthropic organizations, which work both nationally and internationally.
